Art’s Sake Studios announces auditions for its first annual production of Dramatique scheduled for the end of April of this year.
When: Saturday March 16th from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. ONLY (No appointment necessary, please do not call the studio).
Where: Art’s Sake Studios, 680 Clay Street, Winter Park, FL 32789
Who: Art’s Sake Resident Ensemble Actors, anyone who has completed the Art’s Sake curriculum (Core Film, Scene Study, and Auditions) and has been invited into the Advanced Intensive class and anyone personally invited to audition by one of the directors.
Performance Dates:
Fridays and Saturdays: April 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th (SHOW RUNS APPROX 90 MIN, CAST CALL TIME ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SHOW TIME)
Tech Dates:
Sunday April 14th 6:00 – 11:00 pm and Thursday April 18th 11:00 - Midnight.
Rehearsals:
Directors and cast are responsible for the rehearsal dates of their show, the frequency of those dates will be up to the individual show. Rehearsals will run through March and April right up to Opening Night. (Usually around 8 short rehearsals per show).

DRAMATIQUE FAQ’S
Q: Who can audition?
A: Art’s Sake Resident Ensemble Actors, anyone who has completed the Art’s Sake curriculum (Core Film, Scene Study, and Auditions) and has been invited into the Advanced Intensive class and anyone personally invited to audition by one of the directors.
Q: Is there pay?
A: Dramatique, a division of Play de Luna, is a self-producing company. There is no pay (but it's great to have a Theatre credit on your resume). Additionally, all cast members are asked to sell 5 tickets which are sold to you at the price of $10 each.
Q: Can I audition if I am Equity or SAG?
A: If you are SAG, you can ABSOLUTELY audition. If you are Equity, you will have to fill out an Equity Waiver form with written request.
Q: What is the rehearsal schedule?
A: Rehearsals are based around the actor/directors schedules. There are usually about 6-8, 1-3 hr rehearsals.
Q: What if I have rehearsal conflicts?
A: On your audition form you will be asked for away dates, and specific time conflicts. Please be as candid as possible with your flexibility.
Q: Can I read the plays in advance?
A: Perusal scripts are available online. Please see audition notice for hyperlink.
Q: Can I see the sides in advance?
A: Sides will typically be available 1 week before audition date.
Q: What should I bring to the audition?
A: Audition forms will be available at the studio on the day of the auditions.
Q: Do I need to bring a headshot/resume to the audition?
A: It'd be nice, but not a necessity.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment for an audition?
A: We hold OPEN auditions--we do not make ANY appointments. Please just show up ANY TIME during the audition day.
Q: How soon after the audition will casting be announced? A: Typically, the directors make offers within 48 hours.
